For me, it's a kind of conceptual art project...I get to express express myself and though, if no one ever looked at what I do, I would keep on doing it...I really am gratified that you are part of my audience. Keep on keepin on!

  6. Q: What do people from Detroit and a bottle of beer have in common?
A: They’re both empty from the neck up.

  7. d'yuhhh...hey...I'm frum deetroit...ah guess the seppster was adressin me...since i refuse to go to the toxic waste dump of a blog he stews in, i am dedicating this song to him...too bad I don't have the audio, because there is a killer guitar solo which was inspired by Ted Nugent (I knew Ted when he was a real acid casualty, which goes very far to explain the fuzzy little guy we all know and love now)
    Little Creep From Detroit...
    Ahem,

    I am obnoxious
    I can't be trusted
    I'll OD in your bathroom
n' throw up on your shag rug
    I never really loved you
    I only loved your money
all I ever wanted was all that I could steal
    cause,
I'm a little creep from Detroit
    DETROIT
    A little creep from Detroit
    DETROIT
    Little creep from Detroit
    DETROIT
    Little Creep From Detroit!
    DETROIT!
    LITTLE CREEP FROM DETROIT! AUGGGHHHH!
(insert killer guitar solo, here. Ted ingests one too many tabs of or orange "sunshine" goes berserk, tries to kill the drummer of the Amboy Dukes and has to be institutionalized for a few months....when he released at the end of the guitar solo, he decides to become a conservative republican)

  8. So, what your saying is that when Nugent stopped taking drugs, he became a conservative? That explains the liberal thought process pretty well. As long as everything has a slight haze around it while you're thinking it...it's coool!

BTW duuude maaan, you haven't been missed at my toxic blog since your little brother Jeffio stepped up and became a good proxie.

  9. Hello Microdot,
Being of that same generation, we always knew that Ted Nugent’s mind was crispy from all those many years of LSD abuse.

Then when I saw how he is now a poster child for Conservative Republicans touting that President Obama should suck on the end of his machine gun barrel....I just thought what a sad outcome of a life that was such a good guitar talent. I would never promote assignation of any U.S. political leader no matter how much I disliked them…..not even as a joke. This is “Third World” antics. It is just in poor taste and I would hope that we as “Democratic Loving American Citizens” should hold ourselves to a higher standard. By accepting Ted Nugent’s comment without admonishment towards the President (or any President for that matter) is a sad commentary on how low we have sunk in our political process.

Today, mentally, Ted Nugent is the WHOLE empty beer bottle.

  10. Dottie- It's awesome to see you back here. Your appreciation is not necessary buddy. I should be thanking you. I wish I could figure out how to do the funny artsy stuff. I just recently figured out how to post a picture. :) Thanks for the compliment, She looks like me, I think.
A Happy New Year to you and yours as well. Your comment this week will not be deleted. My resolution will start on this Friday's post. Don't get me wrong, a comment doesn't have to be a joke per se. I just won't allow bickering on those posts any longer. I have plenty of posts for that.........

  11. Johnny,

My New Year's Resolution this year is to lose some weight. Back in my youth (up til 35 or so), I was always trim and in good shape, but lately the only muscle I've been working is my table muscles. And not the ones you use to push back from the table.

    Happy New Year.

  12. EOK & Dottie- I understand what you guys are trying to say about Nugent. But the same could be said about Michael Moore. Did you guys see the interview Piers Morgan did with Moore. It was fabulous.

Moore: "I'm down here standing arm-n-arm with these Patriots who are against the wealth held by the 1%"

Morgan: "But Michael, you are part of the 1%."

Moore: "That's not true, I support what these kids are fighting for."

Morgan: "Your estimated net-worth is over 50 million dollars. Should you be paying 90% tax on that money?"

Moore: "I'm just here to support these people."

  13. mr 10nth...this guy JOB is awesome...look, I'm pushing 63 and I'm in better physical shape now than I have ever been in my life. Just get up and do it...I post about the mythical idea of being in shape after 50...age is in your head, inertia is a frame of mind. If you think you can, then you will! You can do it!

  14. TGP- Unfortunately, I may be with ya. It seems that my yearning to enter back into competitive Poewerlifting may not happen. After two heavy squat sessions, one which I posted about, I am experiencing great pain in my knees. I'm afraid my age and profession may have caught up with me. I have an appointment with an Orthopedic guy later in the week.

As far as losing weight, along with eating better, builing muscle will help with your process. Their is one exercise that doctors have proven, will help boost your metabolism. Unfortunately, it's the squat.

  15. Johnny,

Yeah, my knees are shot, too. I'd like to get a treadmill, but times are too tight for that.

    Mr. Dot,

Thanks for the encouragement. I definitely need to do some sort of exercise. I used to get enough just by working, but jobs are so far in between, its time to supplement with exercise.

  16. Hello J.O.B.
With all due respect, I would like to get back on topic and let’s not use the “Divertive Argument” tactic of Michael Moore. (Example: Little Tommy was throwing rocks through windows and when caught, his justification and excuse was, “Billy was doing it too.” Elementary playground logic and poor “Logical Argumentation” form.)

The question at hand is as “Democratic Loving American Citizens” should hold ourselves to a higher standard. By accepting Ted Nugent’s comment of “Killing the President” without admonishment (against any President) is a sad commentary on how low we have sunk in our political process.

  17. Hello TGP,
My mother's cousin who is a retired Police Chief of Daytona, FL, and has been a weight lifter his whole life. At the age of 67, he had a heart stint implanted then broke the weight lifting record, “Snatch and Jerk” if I am not mistaken, for his age group. It was a couple of hundred pounds plus….All I remember was it was the weight lifting record for his age group…..I know I could not do it.

  19. EOK- I'm a little confused. Why do you refer to me as J.O.B. & R.O.B. withe the same comment.

Also, what exactly is the question you are asking of me?

The lifts you were telling TGP about are the "Snatch" & "Clean and Jerk". They are the two lifts you see in the olympics.

  20. Hell J.O.B.
    Poor typing and sorry.

I don't lift weights so my correct terminoligy was incorrect. My mother's cousin competes in all the forms of weight lifting and holds and has held many records in this sport.

The observation I am asking about is should we ALL not be taking an issue of being outrage that someone like Ted Nugent making a comment of “Killing the President” (by having him sucking on Nugents machine gun barrel while he pulls the trigger) without admonishment from ALL.

I have not heard a peep from those on the right side of the political spectrum being offended that someone would openly promote the "Killing of a President" they do not like.

So in sumation the question is, "Why do you think this is."

  21. EOK,

I love Nugent, for both his music, and his hunting shows. As for his politics, I am closer to Nugent than I am to anyone on this blog.

I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. It is my humble opinion that Mr. Obama is an enemy of that document.

That does not mean I approve of Nugent's solution to the problem. I would like to see impeachment proceedings and criminal charges against Obama, Holder, Napolitano, et al. I don't believe that Mr. Nugent is seriously promoting Obama's assassination. In fact, I think he is simply exercising his freedom of speech. You and I can agree or disagree with his words, but, according to the court decision Johnny cites above, we have to respect his right to say them.

  22. EOK- Thanks for specifying. First, I kind of figured you weren't a weight hound. I just figured I would clear it up on your behalf. I have done some Olympic weight training. Especially when playing Football. Trust me when I tell you that, your Mom's cousin's accomplishment is amazing, and should be commended. Quite a great feat.

For your question. My honest opinion, is that they don't care about the statement. They just want to see Obama gone.
1st- I never saw footage of Nugent's statement. Was it taken out of context?
2nd- I think people get so angry, and disenfranchised, that they don't care how it comes about, they just want the man gone. Basically, Nugent's qoute(?) could be a simple metaphor.
3rd- I worked with a guy in '05 who was a die-hard Liberal. He used to say that he would love to drown Bush in a puddle of oil. So, it works both ways.

In closing, if Nugent was standing next to Obama with no Secret Service around, do I really think he would put a bullet in his head? No. I also think the majority of Republicans would agree with me. Even the ones who hover on the far right. But of course, there are a select few, that are just nuts. But the same could be said for Democratic extremists.

  23. TGP- Well said, and I love how you parlee it into the Free/Speech debate.

  24. Nugent said "Obama should go suck a machine gun" with "machine gun" being used as a metaphor for a dick.
And for an old guy, he still pours out the energy and puts his all into his concerts.

I made it to his concert last summer at the fairgrounds.
