Dear Sandy Hook parents.

By now, your worst nightmares have been held true and then some. You are in the process of burying your child(ren), or setting up arrangements. Your broken hearts have been polarized on television. In newspapers. And on blogs. By now, a lot of Liberals have communicated their opinion on what would have helped your child. Same is to be said about Conservatives and their opinions.
I offer no opinion. But I offer you my apology. About ten months ago, I purchased an assault rifle similar to the one that murdered your child. I had no need for this weapon other than gaining access to a stupid gun club that would not allow pistols any more. The pain that you feel I can not begin to imagine. Oh my god, I am so sorry. I can't help but think that I'm not the only one in our country that purchased a weapon like this, just because. I have a daughter of my own and my heart aches for you. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you all. My prayers will be with your children. I pray that they find the peace that failed them on Earth. I will also pray for you. Please stand fast. None of this was your fault. You did nothing wrong as parents, and I will pray that you someday can overcome your tragedy. Until then, I will do what I think a victim of this crime would expect......Again, I am so sorry and can only hope that you accept my apology.

Absolutely amazing

Today after dropping my daughter off at school, I came home and started visiting the blogs I like. When I went to a certain blog, I was surprised to see a link to a post I wrote last Wednesday(12-12). You probably are all aware that I published a post asking some bloggers for advice on how to properly introduce my daughter to guns. So anyway, I click the link and land in the comment section of my post. At the end of the thread is a comment posted by someone going by the handle of "Adam". The comment read, "I heard the Bushmaster AR15 is good for kids".

Well, you could imagine the outrage as I saw that comment on my blog. So I deleted it, then some Malware warning pops up. I immediately call the wife in who tells me to not do anything. She gets on the horn with work. I talk to some County IT guy about what happened, then the wife talks to him. She hangs up, proceeds to go to her briefcase and pull out some little thing that plugs into the computer. She plugs it in, then does a bunch of shit with files. A minute later she unplugs it and tells me to delete the post, which I do. In that post, I received a lot of comments from people and I appreciate them all. Except the one from "Adam" of course. I would especially like to thank my buddies Tenth and Hard Nox for their input. As far as the deleted post goes, I have decided to wait quite a bit to introduce Princess to guns. Due to the combination of talking to my Uncle, and of course, Friday's events. I do not feel comfortable with such an introduction right now. But when I feel more comfortable, I will definitely take all comments into consideration, and I thank you for that.

Anyway after all that shit was done I go back to the blog I was at. I was astonished at what I read. This "Adam" guy seems to be the same guy that posted a hand full of comments at the blog I was at. Except he posted under the tag "Anonymous". Apparently he feels as though his safety is in danger. Don't laugh, he really feels that way. This is his exact handle.............Anonymous (for my own safety). At first after reading the comments, I was rather thrown for a loop, and quite angry. But then I remembered something my buddy EOK told me. I then sat back for a moment, took a breath, then I smiled and laughed. Here's what I laughed at, and keep in mind that a couple of the bloggers refer to Conservatives as the "Reactionary right" and "Posse".

“My dislike for Sepp was based on a visceral feeling that he was full of it.”

Now why would you think that? Could it be his blog and people who read it that post comments like this one?

“J.O.B. said…

Looking for help Sepp.

http://job60445.blogspot.com/2012/12/its-great-day-in-chicago.html

As for your post? Fuck them, everyone is irrelevant in there eyes. Accept for the big money donors of course.

8:55 AM”

What kind of numskull would ask Sepp for advice on anything? Probably someone who uses profanity in a public forum and bad grammar (i.e. misplaced comma). And writes “there” instead of “their” and “Accept” instead of “Except”. (Guess J.O.B. wouldn’t be one of those big money donors.) Oh, and someone who arms his 8 year old daughter.

And don’t ya know the bad schoolin’ cause they made God get out of public schools. Show me one case where intolerance is bad?

Then there was this thread on a separate post.

I know, let’s arm our kids! (Be sure to read the comments too.)

I’m even more depressed now than I was before….sigh….

I have deleted all names and pictures just so there is no unwarranted traffic. But the anonymous poster got what he wanted, a reaction. All he had to do was drop the bait, and he gets the reaction he's looking for. The shame in it is that the Blog Administrator and the other person replying are fairly intelligent to my knowledge. The administrator left a comment on my post as well which was deleted with all the other ones. So he obviously read it. No where in that post or comment thread, did I ever mention arming my 8 year old. The thought of my kid packing heat never crossed my mind.

I start becoming curious about properly teaching firearm safety and respect to my child, since they are in the house. Some anonymous person tries to combine this with the Connecticut shootings. Then some educated people fall for it. It doesn't anger me, it just saddens me.

Here is the one thing that disturbs me though. This anonymous person is someone that I believe I've dealt with in the past. I'm pretty sure some of you have as well. After some interaction with him during the elections, and then this. I am beginning to suspect some mental Issues may be involved. Or at the least, huge self confidence issues. He seems to love going to Conservative blogs and doing a copy/paste job at his favorite Liberal blog. It seems like he does this for no reason other than to get some high fives. Maybe some validation? Maybe he is just as reactionary as the people he preaches against?

I hope that's the case. I hope it's just some sort of self esteem issue. If not, keep your eyes peeled for another mass shooting. Because a lot of the behavior seems eerily similar to what we saw out of that Adam kid in Connecticut.

For all you "Green" people out there who have a special child, or ten in your life. This website is perfect. Not only are these toys made of recycled plastic, but most importantly. They are 100% American made. The only down side is the variety, but your convictions may outweigh that. HERE is the link.........

Here is a board game that will challenge your child's mind. Children gain points and move around the board. May be a minor rip-off of Trivia Pursuit. But who gives a shit what Pink's real name is? Might be better for the children to learn about the history of our country. A wonderful game, and better learning experience. And of course, it is 100% American made. HERE is the link.........

But here's the best part, The clothing line is donating 10% of all profits to http://www.cfsrf.org/ which is the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. Check out all that they have to offer HERE

Trephination

I used to want to take a drill to my head, Let the pain out of the hole
I used to want to cut the veins in my neck.  Cool the blood boiling my soul
When I wondered, why my daily headaches thundered
Tried to buffer, pushing down the pain I suffered
Mutilated, feeling so humiliated
Cannot wash the dirt off underneath my skin

There was a part of me left far behind
When at the age of five years old
I had my innocence taken from me
Emptiness would fill the hole
Now a second grader, thinking why I don't feel better
Why I'm filthy, why the hell I feel so guilty
When drawing stick men of pornographic men and women
Thinking all the time there's something wrong with me

Everyday for three years from dawn 'til dusk a migraine
would take me and break me And it'd cripple me so much that
In dreams, it'd seem, with a hole in my temple
that I could probably make my headaches finally go away

Trephination
Trephination
The enemy inside of me
won't let me free
wants me to bleed

And after three years now my headaches wear off
For reasons not quite to me known
The acupuncture needles sticking my skin
Pushed them down as far as they'd go
But now I'm older and now inside my anger smolders
from depression, to fighting taking out my vengeance
Consequences, now I'd question during sex if ...
Is this how it fucking feels or am I faking it ?

No longer the child that you left there at the bart tracks
I'm now at 17, left in an empty blackness
On drugs, with thugs, and thinking "Goddamn ?"
I'm ending up in a failure, in the gutter passed out

Trephination
Trephination
This enemy inside of me
won't let me free
wants me to bleed

Now I'm older and in this man an anger smolders
Now I'm thinking a hole in you is what I'm seeing
Your depression, is the dent I kick in you in vengeance
Consequences are the pain I'd give to you

I know that I'm dreaming, but in this dream I go in
go through it, and end it and though I'd never do it
I'm killing you, hand on the trigger - pull it
Your final thought'll be a bullet in your fuckin' head

Trephination
Trephination
This enemy inside of me I'm now killing
to make me free.

Will you stand beside me?

As of this very moment, I have had 17,695 page views on my blog. I have made quite a few great friends, some of who I speak with on a more personal level. But I can't do this any more. What I mean is this blog, or at least what it has become. Most of you know me on an intimate level. But what you don't know, is that I've been battling depressive mood swings for the last seven years. I have recently reached a point that is beyond my control
I started blogging in June '11. I figured I would mix a little bit of wit, a little humor, but most importantly, a little bit of me. My goal has always been to put a smile on everyone's face. Whether through banter, jokes, or even truth. I guess that comes through a childhood that "Hollywood Liberals" would call awful. I just called it growing up. But I have always had some strange "need" to make everyone feel comfortable, regardless of how I feel.
But I have finally reached a point where I can no longer oblige. Non of you know me on a completely intimate level, and that's the way I prefer it. But my life has taken an unexpected turn, and I feel as though I am spiraling. The only thing I can think to do, is to open up here. Not for praise, regret, prayers, or anything else of that matter. I just have a lot of shit pent up, and who better to tell than a public who is in arms distance.
I am suspending the usual Monday, Wednesday, and Friday posts. I am also suspending any political shit. I will be posting on America working for obvious reasons. I will also finish my series on Entitlements. Just because if you start something, you should finish it.
Everyone can expect a lot more music posts. Only because that is the one thing that always holds true in my life. WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................ You mat not like the music...........................

Johnny O'Bloggin's Musical Saturday (Tribute).

Today is a sad anniversary in the music world. As most of you know, I am a HUGE fan of metal.
Eight years ago today, Darrelll (Dimebag) Abbott was gunned down while playing a show at Alrosa Villa in Columbus Ohio with his band, Damageplan.
Abbott was best known as the founding member of Pantera. A metal band that started in '81, but did not reach popularity until '92 with it's 2nd studio release, Vulgar Display of Power. What Abbott did for Metal was unreal. He actually brought grooves and melodies to the melodic metal sounds of Sabbath. In fact, Abbott is accredited for creating the entire sound that is now known as "Groove Metal". And he did it with ONE RIFF..................................................................................

A few other songs that revolutionized the "Metal" sound.........................

In 2001, Pantera went on extended hiatus, but never formally broke up. This was due in large part to Phil Anselmo's (Vocals) rampant heroin use. After one year, Darrell and brother Vinnie (Pantera Drummer) formed Damageplan.................................................................

On December 8, 2004, Abbott was shot onstage while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. The gunman, Nathan Gale, shot Abbott three times in the head using a 9mm handgun; the third shot killed him instantly. Gale continued shooting, killing three others and wounding a further seven. Gale fired a total of fifteen shots, stopping to reload once and remaining silent throughout the shooting.
Jeff "Mayhem" Thompson, the band's head of security, was killed tackling Gale, as was Alrosa Villa employee Erin Halk. Audience member Nathan Bray was killed while trying to perform CPR on Abbott and Thompson. It was rumored that one crowd member leapt in front of the gunman, saving the lives of several band members. Damageplan drum technician, John Brooks was shot three times as he attempted to get the gun away from Gale, but was overpowered and taken hostage in a headlock position. Tour manager Chris Paluska was also injured.
Seven police officers came in the front entrance, led by Officer Rick Crum, and moved toward the stage. Officer James Niggemeyer came in through the back door, behind the stage. Gale only saw the officers in front of the stage; he didn't see Officer Niggemeyer, who was armed with a 12 gauge Remington 870 shotgun. He approached Gale from the opposite side of the stage to avoid hitting the hostage and fired a single shot just as Gale looked towards Niggemeyer, striking Gale in the face with eight of the nine buckshot pellets, killing him instantly. Gale was found to have had 35 rounds of ammunition remaining.
Nurse and audience member Mindy Reece, 28, went to the aid of Abbott, and she and another fan administered CPR until paramedics arrived, but were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Early theories of motive suggested that Gale might have turned to violence in response to the breakup of Pantera, or the public dispute between Abbott and Pantera singer Phil Anselmo, but these were later ruled out by investigators. Another theory was that Gale believed Abbott had stolen a song that he had written. In the book, A Vulgar Display Of Power, several of Gale's personal writings, given to the author by his mother, suggest that the gunman was not angry about Pantera's breakup or a belief that Pantera had "stolen songs"; instead, the documents suggest that Gale's paranoid schizophrenia  caused delusions that the band could read his mind, and that they were "stealing" his thoughts and laughing at him.

Eight years ago today, the world lost a great Rock/Metal guitarist. Personally, because of his music, I started realizing, hearing, and putting together, the link between Metal and Classical. I will forever be grateful to you for that Dimebag. May you rest peacefully, and may your family cope with love..............................

The winner is ?? Drum Roll Please !!!!

2ND Congressional District voters of Illinois.

Congratulations. You people are the Beat-Offs Of the month for November.................

I wanted to give this award to Jesse himself, but how can you? Jesse didn't vote himself into office. But what he did was leave his position in early June, JUNE! Went to the Mayo clinic. Got released. Got photographed at two separate DC bars with two separate women who weren't his wife. Went back to the Mayo clinic and sent robo calls asking for prayers and votes. All while being investigated for campaign money fraud. Then resigning, and costing ALL Illinois tax payers a total of around $770,900.00 for a special election. Of course, if you do not pay Federal Taxes, the special election may not apply to you. BUT, you are proof, that people should have to pass a test to gain the RIGHT to vote. And also, You are the BEAT-OFFS of November.

Entitlements (Part II)

Noun:
  1. The fact of having a right to something.
  2. The amount to which a person has a right
Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit
Earned Income Tax Credit
Social Security--Retirement & Survivors

1. Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit: Federal courts have confirmed that expenses incurred for the care of a dependent, such as babysitting or daycare, while the taxpayer is at work, are not included in deductible business expenses and are not deductible under IRC section 162(a). As a result, single-earner households with qualifying individuals are favored over two-earner households with qualifying individuals, as the cost of daycare often outweighs the extra income made in two-earner households. IRC section 21 serves to lessen this imbalance by allowing a limited credit for certain expenses related to the care of a qualified dependent.
Verdict: Am I entitled to this credit? I would say yes. Of course, the amount of children I have in my lifetime will have nothing to do with my tax liability, but a percentage of my tax dollars goes towards welfare recipients and the amount of children they bring into this world. So, why should I not get a little bit of a break? If Entitlement is placed on the fact that I benefit from having a child, then go ahead and get rid of it. But get rid of it for everyone, no matter how wealthy or poor.

2. Earned Income Tax Credit: The United States federal earned income tax credit or earned income credit  is a refundable tax credit for low and medium-income individuals and couples, primarily for those who have qualifying children. When the credit exceeds the amount of taxes owed, it results in a tax refund to those who qualify and claim the credit. That is, this credit is refundable. This tax credit is provided, in part, to offset the burden of social security taxes and to maintain an incentive to work.
Verdict: I think the last sentence in the above paragraph says it all. "This tax credit is provided, in part, to offset the burden of social security taxes and to maintain an incentive to work".
The BURDEN of Social Security? You mean the BURDEN of making sure our senior citizens do not starve? And to maintain an incentive to work? Are you fucking kidding me? We as a nation now need an incentive to work? Taking care of your family, and making sure your children have better opportunities than you do are not incentive enough? This is what our country has become? Go out and work, and you will receive money in return for taking care of your family???????????????  FUCK THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How's this? We replace minimum wage with Living Wage, designated by states, and we rid ourselves of the EITC?

3. Social Security--Retirement & Survivors: In the United States, Social Security refers to the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) federal program. The original Social Security Act (1935and the current version of the Act, as amended, encompass several social welfare and social insurance programs.
Social Security is primarily funded through dedicated payroll taxes called Federal Insurance Contributions Act tax(FICA). Tax deposits are formally entrusted to the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund, the Federal Disability Insurance Trust Fund, the Federal Hospital Insurance Trust Fund, or the Federal Supplementary Medical Insurance Trust Fund which comprise the Social Security Tax Fund.
By dollars paid, the U.S. Social Security program is the largest government program in the world and the single greatest expenditure in the federal budget, with 20.8% for Social Security, compared to 20.5% for discretionary defense and 20.1% for Medicare/Medicaid. According to economist Martin Feldstein, the combined spending for all social insurance programs in 2003 constituted 37% of government expenditure and 7% of the gross domestic product. Social Security is currently estimated to keep roughly 40 percent of all Americans age 65 or older out of poverty.
Verdict: We as a country can not get rid of Social Security. I live among many Seniors who depend upon their S.S. just to survive. In fact, one of the '08 Obama campaign promises was to eliminate all taxes on Seniors whose income was less than 40K. A promise not kept. Many jobs that Americans will land in, will not require the employer to establish a retirement fund. And that's fine. If said employee is paid a decent wage, they should be able to save a little. But without a 401K, or pension of some sort, it will be next to impossible for that person to survive after retirement. To me, that is unacceptable. Our fellow working Men and Women of this country has paved a way. They should be compensated for such. If we as a country can not take care of our elderly, what does that say about us?

........to be continued, we have a lot more to cover.

Johnny O'Bloggin's Funny Ass Friday....

A plane takes off, with a Jewish pilot and Chinese co-pilot. There is a frosty atmosphere in the cockpit until eventually the Jewish pilot speaks. ‘I don’t like the Chinese,’ he says. ‘Why is that?’ asks the copilot. ‘You bombed Pearl Harbor,’ says the captain. ‘That’s why I don’t like the Chinese.’ ‘No, you got it wrong. It was the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor,’ explains the co-pilot. The captain replies: ‘Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese… It doesn’t matter, they’re all the same.’ Silence falls in the cockpit.
Finally the co-pilot says, ‘I don’t like Jews.’ ‘Why not?’ asks the captain. ‘Because they sunk the Titanic,’ replies the Chinese co-pilot. ‘No, no, no,’ the captain corrects him. ‘Jews did not sink the Titanic. It was an iceberg.’ ‘Iceberg, Goldberg, Rosenberg… It doesn’t matter, they're all the same.’ replies the co-pilot.

Johnny O'Bloggin's Musical Monday

In 1992, I discovered the music of Tori Amos and was instantly attracted for obvious reasons. She is the only modern day Pop singer that I know of that incorporates piano into all of her music. I do find it hard to label her a Pop musician though. Her music is dark in nature, stemming from a sexual assault when she was 22. Plus, she is also a beautiful composer. Last year she released "Night of Hunters", which is a tribute to such classical artists as Bach, Chopin, and Granados. This is "Silent all these years". I hope you enjoy.

Entitlements

Noun:
  1. The fact of having a right to something.
  2. The amount to which a person has a right
529 or Coverdell
Home Mortgage Interest Deduction
Hope or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
Student Loans

Politicians talk about entitlement programs, but they are never specific. The only problem I see with entitlement programs, is the abuse of them.

1. 529 program: I know this one well. A college savings account that is great for taxes. I'm guessing this is considered an entitlement because of the tax situation. You pay no taxes on earnings, and you can roll the whole investment into other tax deferred accounts, such as IRA and other retirement accounts. However, you do invest your own money, after taxes. I have paid no taxes on the earnings since opening this account in '04. My financial adviser (loving brother) assures me that I will not pay taxes until retirement age, as long as I keep rolling it over. But that's if the Princess doesn't attend college. If she goes to college, the fund is transferred, 100% tax free.
Verdict:  I feel that my daughter is entitled to not have to worry about paying for college. But that entitlement is paid for by her work horse Father, and financially brilliant Uncle.
2. Home Mortgage Interest Deduction:  Most of us know this one. There have been two arguments on the deduction. The arguments against is that the deduction inflates property values, as well as creating a sort of welfare state. In fact, Alan Mallach, a senior fellow at the Center for Community Progress and a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, argues that the deduction artificially inflates home prices and is in effect a government subsidy of the real estate industry. Of course, eliminating this deduction could lead to a better revenue stream for the Federal Government, which I'm sure will be wasted. The argument in favor of  is obviously led by the National Association of Realtors. The standard justification for the deduction is that it gives an incentive for home ownership. The NAR strongly opposes eliminating the mortgage interest deduction, claiming, "Housing is the engine that drives the economy, and to even mention reducing the tax benefits of home ownership could endanger property values. Home prices, particularly in high cost areas, could decline 15 percent if recommendations to convert the mortgage interest deduction to a tax credit are implemented. I think this statement alone proves that the Home Mortgage Deduction does inflate real estate value.
Verdict: Not sure if I would call this an entitlement. In order to receive the benefits of this deduction, you still have to invest your own money into a home. I would also like to add that the home mortgage deduction had nothing to do with my decision to purchase property.
3. Hope or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit: This is available to taxpayers who have incurred education expenses. For this credit to be claimed by a taxpayer, the student must attend school on at least a part-time basis. The credit can be claimed for education expenses incurred by the taxpayer, the taxpayer’s spouse, or the taxpayer’s dependent. This credit allows for a 20% tax credit for first $10,000 of qualified tuition and expenses to be fully creditable against the taxpayer’s total tax liability. The maximum amount of the credit is $2000 per household. The credit is available for net tuition and fees (less grant aid) paid for post-secondary enrollment. The credit is available on a per-taxpayer (family) basis, and is phased out at the same income levels as the Hope Scholarship Credit.
Verdict: From what I read, my biggest issue with this entitlement is that it seems like a reward for going into debt. This credit may also be responsible for inflating the cost of higher education.
4. Student Loans: Student loans come in several varieties in the United States.
Federal student loans made to students directly: The student makes no payments while enrolled in at least half time status. If a student drops below half time, the account goes into a six-month grace period. If the student re-enrolls in at least half time status, the loans are deferred, but when they drop below half time again they no longer have access to a grace period. Amounts are quite limited as well. There are many deferments and a number of forbearances one can get in the Direct Loan program. For those who are disabled, there is also the possibility of 100% loan discharge if you meet the requirements. Due to changes by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, it became easier to get one of these discharges after July 1, 2010. There are loan forgiveness provisions for teachers and health professionals serving low-income areas. Currently, certain loan forgiveness or discharges are considered income by the Internal Revenue Service due to 26 U.S.C. 108(f).
Federal student loans made to parents: Much higher limit, but payments start immediately
Private student loans made to students or parents: Higher limits and no payments until after graduation, although interest starts to accrue immediately. Private loans may be used for any education related expenses, such as tuition, room and board, books, computers, and past due balances. Students can also use private loans to supplement federal student loans when federal loans, grants, and other forms of financial aid are insufficient to cover the full cost.
The federal student loan program has been criticized for not adjusting interest rates according to the riskiness of factors that are under students' control, such as choice of major. Critics have contended that this lack of risk-based pricing contributes to inefficiency and misallocation of resources in higher education, and lower productivity in the labor market. However, recent research indicates that while high levels of student loan debt, coupled with high default rates, present a number of challenges for individual student loan borrowers, they do not necessarily place a substantial burden on society at large.
Verdict: This one is tricky, because it is a loan that needs to be repaid. However there is evidence of abuse. I like to play poker. One night at the local casino I was playing a $5-$10 NL Hold em game. Across from me was a guy and girl who were wearing New York Giants jerseys. After a few hours someone at this table asked about the jerseys. Turns out they were both from New York. They came to Chicago to go to college. Why? Because Illinois has the BEST debt forgiveness programs. So here I am playing poker with two kids who are worried about not being able to pay back their loans. Or are they planning on just defaulting so they don't have to pay back that loan? I should mention that they both bought into the game for the maximum amount, which is $1000. I believe this would be a case of abuse, and maybe should be viewed as an entitlement, considering default would only place a bigger burden on the tax payer.

Happy Veterans Day

Let's take some time out today to say thank you to our veterans. Those who served, and those who are currently serving. They have given a piece of themselves so that we can enjoy the most basic freedoms and I for one just want to say......................

Thank you so very much. I will never take your sacrifice for granted.

If you see your blog on this site, but do not want the traffic, let me know and I will take it off. I dedicate my blog to open dialogue with all political beliefs, but if you're a blogger and do not share that thought, I will understand. My blog roll reflects the sites that I like to read and comment on. Thanks and I hope you enjoy.

The Winner is ?? Drum Roll Please !!!

The beat-off of the month for October is odd. I had the winner wrapped up by the 3rd week. But then, on the second to last day of the month, a new candidate and repeat award winner took the beat-off ball, and slam dunked it........................................................................................................
                                         Rahm Emanuel

Congratulations, you are the BEAT-OFF of the month for October. I have discussed welfare numerous times, on this blog and others. Conservatives hate the very idea of welfare. They don't like the idea of their tax dollars going to support "Deadbeats". I can understand their point of view. Liberals believe welfare is necessary for the general well being of society as a WHOLE. I can understand their point of view. My own personal thoughts, I hate welfare, at least the system as we know it. Not enough money is put into programs to help welfare recipients gain useful and gainful employment. Legislation here is Illinois, that would fund work programs and education programs are consistently voted down in the state HOR. And it's voted down by Democrats! Which leads me to believe that they just want the vote. Maybe the Democrats are afraid of losing that voter base. It's my opinion that welfare recipients are not proud of their situations. They just have no means to a decent end. That is what is truly bothersome to me about welfare. If I look at it through a distant lens, Conservatives want to rid these "parasites" from our country. And Liberals just want to keep them beaten and broken, and VOTING.

But then Our glorious mayor decide to kick it up a notch. Whether you agree with welfare, or not. No matter what the reason is. How can you defend THIS ? Welfare is meant to keep people off the streets. Government housing so people don't have to live in a box. Food stamps, so people don't go hungry. Low monthly income for everyday expenses. But now, welfare will be used in Chicago in order to create better parents. You have kids, but don't find it necessary to get involved in their education. No problem, we'll give you a $25 gift card to Walgreens if you pick up your child's report card and participate in conferences.

Obviously, these parents are exceptions to the welfare rule. They have been programmed, and it has worked. They have become victims of their own upbringing. If I may make a suggestion for your gift card.
Use it to purchase birth control. Because you clearly have no chance at being a decent parent.

Congratulations Mayor Emanuel. Not only have you helped in keeping a community down on there luck. But now you get to reward them for their awful parenting. At OUR expense. You are such a BEAT-OFF.

Halloween is about to get a lot better.

Halloween has always been an awful holiday for me. Eight years ago today, I lost my best friend to a drug overdose. Not only was he like a brother, but he was also Princess's God Father. As a proud Catholic Dago, it was a role that he embraced with vigor. To this day, the things he missed out on with his God Daughter makes me wish I could have done more to help him. I question  myself everyday on how I could have handled his demons differently.

Seventy Five years ago today, a woman was born that would turn out to be the most influential person in my life. She gave me my morals, and my passion. Because of her, I learned about understanding and compassion. I learned how to cook and play piano. But the best thing she ever did, was give me life. My only regret is that she wasn't around long enough to meet her Granddaughter. Love you Ma.

But this year, this day, is new. Somehow, this is the first time in eight years that the Princess will be with me on Halloween. I spent the last few nights enjoying things that I have not enjoyed in a long time.

The amazing thing about children is that in the beginning, you give them life. You help bring them into this world. But as time goes on, they give you life. They teach you how to live again. They remind you of what was once fun and important. This morning was no different.

The Princess is at school right now enjoying a Halloween party. I'm sitting here watching the clouds part, and the Sun starting to shine. I find myself looking very much forward to tonight. The first time I've been trick or treating in over 20 years. And for that Honey, I thank you.....................................

The Bitch is gone.....

Sandy has left and in her wake is devastation. More than 40 deaths, including two young boys who died in New York when a tree fell into there living room. Millions without power. A horrific event that most of the United States did not have to endure.

This is now a good time for us as Americans to help. Political beliefs and parties aside, American citizens need our help. Below are links to different charitable organizations and relief funds. If at all possible, I'm sure the smallest of donations would mean everything. Let's keep these people in our prayers.

Johnny O'Bloggin's Musical Monday........

The band is Soulfly. The singer/guitar player is Max Cavalera. He is the founding member of Sepultura, but left that band in the late 90's after a dispute. He formed Soulfly after his departure from Sepultura. He uses different artists for all studio releases to avoid a "Stale" sound. Interesting story actually. I'm sure it's on wikipedia. Anyway, this song is entitled "Moses". Hope you enjoy.

Early voting starts today. (BUT WAIT!)

Yes, I am asking you not to vote just yet. I understand that some people will be out of town and would prefer to vote early, compared to an absentee ballot. But the problem is that we as a country are under siege. Our Democracy is under siege. We are under siege from an evil known as the CPD

The CPD (Commission on Presidential Debates) has held the diplomatic process hostage since 1987. The problem is that the CPD was started by the Democratic and Republican parties. The CPD has moderated every Presidential debate since 1988. So how did things work before that?
The Presidential debates of 1976, 1980, and 1984 were moderated by The League of Women Voters. In October of '88 the League's trustees voted unanimously to pull out of the debates. They released the following statement.

The League of Women Voters is withdrawing sponsorship of the presidential debates...because the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter. It has become clear to us that the candidates' organizations aim to add debates to their list of campaign-trail charades devoid of substance, spontaneity and answers to tough questions. The League has no intention of becoming an accessory to the hoodwinking of the American public.

That is correct. A fraud upon the American voter. Were you aware that there is an agreement made between BOTH PARTIES as to how the debates will go. It is called the Memorandum of Understanding, or MOU for short. Here;s the link for this years agreement. http://www.scribd.com/doc/110073567/The-2012-Debates-Memorandum-of-Understanding-Between-the-Obama-and-Romney-Campaigns

The two major political parties in this country are cowardice, and hi jacking true Democracy. Here is another nice note.
Frank Fahrenkopf, is a former head of the Republican National Committee, and one of the Chairman of the CPD. At a 1987 press conference announcing the commission's creation, Fahrenkopf said that the commission was not likely to include third-party candidates in debates, and Paul G. Kirk, Democratic national chairman, said he personally believed they should be excluded from the debates.
My personal opinion, is that these words and actions prove one thing. The two major parties ARE NOT always interested in nominating the best candidate. But the most winnable one. Of course by winnable, I mean a candidate that will follow their respective party's platform.

 From Wikipedia:

During the 2000 election, the CPD stipulated that candidates would only be invited to debate if they had a 15% support level across five national polls. Ralph Nader, a presidential candidate who was not allowed to debate because of this rule, believed that the regulation was created to stifle the views of third party candidates by keeping them off the televised debates. Nader brought a lawsuit against them in a federal court, on the basis that corporate contributions violate the Federal Election Campaign Act. After a series of FEC actions and lower court decisions, the D.C. Circuit Court ultimately ruled in 2005 that because Congress vested discretionary power in the FEC (meaning that an FEC action would have to rise to the level of arbitrary and capricious to be challenged), the court would not overrule the FEC's determinations that "found that the third-party challengers had failed to provide 'evidence that the CPD is controlled by the DNC or the RNC,'" and that the CPD provided sufficient rationale for barring third party candidates from entering the debates as audience members out of fear they might have disrupted the live debates in protest over having been excluded as debate particpants.[28]
On September 21, 2012, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson filed an anti-trust lawsuit against CPD, the RNC and the DNC in D.C. Circuit Court citing the Sherman Act and claiming "restraint of trade" for denying competition to, for example, potentially receive the $400,000 annual presidential salary. Although the complaint recounts the history of CPD formation, it omits any mention of either the Nader/Hagelin 2000 lawsuit or the FEC. The Johnson complaint asks "for injunctive relief by temporary restraining order ... by enjoining defendants ... from conducting presidential debates unless all constitutionally-eligible candidates are included whose names will appear on the ballots in states whose cumulative total of electoral college votes is 270 or more."[29]

If a person wants to run for President, but does not follow the two major party platforms, they have no chance of winning the highest elected office. It's basically the punishment, for not selling out your values.
But we as the American public are missing out. Two politicians that will be debating TOMORROW are Gary Johnson, and Jill Stein. There are two others that will be part of this debate, their names are Rocky Anderson and Virgil Goode. I don't know too much about Anderson and Goode yet, but I truly believe that Mr. Johnson or Mrs. Stein are better capable of running this country than the two candidate you'll watch on T.V. tonight. It's to bad you won't see Stein or Johnson with them. But the Democratic and Republican National Committee's has done their best to make sure that won't happen.

It's time to take our Democracy back.................................................................
Watch a real debate tomorrow night at 10/23 8:00 CDT at this link.

Left wing and Right wing lunacy in the Land of Lincoln

We have it all in Illinois. We have Governors in Prison and Congressman in clinics. We are the home of Ronald Reagan, numerous politicians trying to buy and sell a Senate seat. We are also home to the first "Billion dollar" President. This upcoming election cycle will offer us a fabulous array of unqualified candidates and incumbents.

First up is one incumbent US Representative named Jesse Jackson Jr. This guy is all sorts of special. He represents the 2nd Congressional District, or at least he DID, until early June. Surrounded by controversy since his "Illness", this man has not been performing his duties as a Congressman since June. He hasn't even been campaigning, but yet conventional wisdom says he will win reelection. Even though come November, he'll be in MN at the Mayo Clinic. A lot of people have been defending him, including his wife Sandi, who is a Chicago Alderman, despite spending most of her time in DC. He was supposedly under medical care when he was spotted at a DC night club. Not once, but twice.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/21/jesse-jackson-jr-medical-_2_n_1997325.html

Not only has he been out of the public eye, but he hasn't even taken his seat in Congress. He's actually asking voters to be patient in regards to his return, and even asks for their prayers and blessings.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/21/jesse-jackson-jr-medical-_2_n_1997325.html

Last, but certainly not least is Joe Walsh. He is the incumbent Congressman from the eighth District. Despicable doesn't even begin to describe this guy. His stance on abortion for instance is deplorable.

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/10/joe-walsh-abortion-health-mother.html

According to Representative Walsh's recent debate on WTTW Chicago, the one exception to abortion that he approves of, is if the child and Mother's life is threatened. At least we got that clarified.
"Maam, Your child will be born with severe cerebral palsy and it's heart will form outside the body. The child will live no more than one year, but your health will be fine. Good luck".
Seriously, that's a conversation that can occur under this Asshole's ideals? Fuck off.
But, just in case that isn't deplorable enough, how about this?

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/rep-joe-walsh-doubles-down-accusation-tammy-duckworth-144349000.html

This Asshole has accused Tammy Duckworth of "Using" her military career as a political upstart.
Tammy Duckworth joined the military in 1992 and is STILL a member of the Illinois National Guard. She has received the Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal, among others.
How exactly does she use her military service to garner votes Joe? Because she limps onto stage?
SHE IS MISSING HER FUCKING LEGS YOU RETARD!!!!!!!

In the end, these two incumbents are proof, that there should be some sort of testing system involved in someone's right to vote. Because both of these politicians are clearly unfit to represent the people. In one way or another.............................................................................

Johnny O'Bloggin's Funny Ass Friday...........

A man had a party where all the rich people attend.
And the he had a pool with alligators. So he announced that anyone who will swim across this pool and come out alive will be granted three wishes.
But no one wanted to go for the challenge. All of a sudden, there was a big splash and a man was swimming like a hell and came out alive.
So the host asked, "What are your three wishes?"
The man replied, "Give me the shotgun and bulllets and show me the idiot that pushed me in ...."

The Liberal's idea of tolerance and free thinking.

Well I've been banned yet again. Apparently, the free flow of ideas on a Liberal blog only works, if you agree with them, don't criticize Obama, or criticize the shit out of Romney.
My first banning was by Muddy over at Mudrake. Although I will admit, I wasn't banned from there due to ideas. He got mad because I deleted a comment. I'll be honest with you, I kind of miss him and our back and forths. Even if you don't like him, I did. His debate with CS on religion was awesome. Both of them debating back and forth in a friendly manner actually got  me to research things. Can you believe that? Me, an agnostic researching facts about God and the bible.
Because of Muddy, I met two good guys. Dottie and EOK. I've communicated with both via e-mail, and actually talk to one on the phone and text messaging quite a bit.
I take full responsibility for what happened between Muddy and I. Things would always get heated, and quite often, I would step over the line. Now that I think about it I think I'll try getting a hold of him when I'm done here.
But this latest incident is pathetic. I will not mention names, and will remove names when I see fit. I don't want anyone to visit this close minded Jack Wagon's blog. So, a quick recap.

My first comment on this man's blog was on 10/16...................................................
Hello ##- Almost forgot about our little diatribe. Hope ##'s absence is a simple hiatus, and not permanent. Felt like I had to comment here for obvious reasons. You didn't mention too much in the post, So I'll go back to our original diatribe, if you don't mind.

"Willard's website says (and I have a video of the werds coming out of his lying mouth)He specifies a 20% cut in income tax rates, a 40% cut in the corporate tax rate, repeal of the estate tax and alternative minimum tax and elimination of taxes on interest, dividends and capital gains for households with incomes below $200,000.(http://www.mittromney.com/issues/tax). The Independent Non Partisan Tax Policy Center AND the Wall Street Journal BOTH say that will reduce revenues by $4.8T. Wednesday night, however, he said he was "Not in favor of a $5T tax cut"(on more than one occasion) and he would keep marginal rates at their current levels while raising Defense spending by $2T MORE than already budgeted. Which is it? Either he's lying on his website (and on camera multiple times) ... or he lied in front of America Wednesday night(on camera, multiple times)."
1- The center estimated that altogether, the lost revenues would total $480 billion by 2015. The Obama campaign adds up the cost over a decade and winds up with $4.8 trillion, which it then rounds up to $5 trillion.
The conclusion is accurate but misleading. Yes, the cuts would total that amount, but as Obama himself noted as he continued speaking, Romney hopes to offset the lost revenues by closing loopholes and deductions. The reductions in tax breaks are as much a part of Romney’s plan as the tax cuts.
2- If memory serves, Romney said he would work with Congress on eliminating loopholes. That's where his whole bi-partisanship musing came into play.
3- I believe the 2T defense shit and the tax cuts were separate issues. Obama was wise to throw that one at him, but when you got someone down, you step on there throat, you don't give 'em smelling salts.

Look ##, I love argumentative banter, as long as it's friendly. I also like meeting new bloggers such as yourself. But before we continue this thread, or you post something about me needing to be informed (which is appreciated), you need to know one thing. I am no longer voting for Romney.

But I do stand behind my original comments. Romney won that debate. He won it because Obama let him. Obama's biggest problem is that (Spoiler) he is not good at debating. He just isn't. If Romney stood there and told all these outright lies, what does it say about our President? WHO LET HIM. Biden was more Presidential than Obama.

I have tonight's debate DVR'd. Probably won't get to it until tomorrow. But I'll stop back, maybe frequently. LOLOLOLOLOL, aren't you a lucky clown.

BTW- One question. You said in that thread, "Changing your point of view because of THE FACTS is an admirable quality, but changing your POV because of PRESENT COMPANY is despicable!"
Out of curiosity, what do you think about Obama's flip-flop on gay marriage?
Talk to ya soon.............................

This comment was left on a post where the blogger personally referenced me. It went back to a debate on another blog between him and myself. Here's his reply posted on 10/17.......................................

J.O.B., Thanks for dropping by and for your comment. You're welcome over here ANY time .... regardless of how you vote!
I was under the impression our disagreement was about whether or not Romney lied (is still lying) about his tax plan .... not who won that debate. Unquestionably, Romney won what debating took place that night and your points on that debate are well taken. My President's "throat stepping" adviser was recently elected Mayor of Chicago and that position is as yet still open.
however .....
I am no Federal Income Tax expert, but folks at The Independent Non Partisan Tax Policy Center are. THEY say that if you cut ALL the loopholes and ALL the deductions it STILL doesn't add up to $5T over ten years. Furthermore, if Mitt cuts the Home Mortgage deduction that will, in essence BE a tax HIKE on everyone who takes that deduction. THEY say (The Independent Non Partisan Tax Policy Center) you cannot cut taxes by 20% across the board and still BE revenue neutral. Bi-Partisan agreement or no. Not even with magical underwear on unicorns. Just doesn't make sense, even if Ryan and Romney "had TIME" to explain it to us, it doesn't add up.
You are correct about that extra $2T as well. After I read the Romney/Ryan tax plan and heard Willard speak of the $2T increase in Defense spending I mentally connected the two for no apparent reason. BUT ....If you CANNOT achieve a revenue neutral 20% tax cut across the board without raising SOMEBODY'S taxes .... where's that money coming from? From the, again, magically created 12M jobs? Another contribution by those patriotic 'Murkans the Koch brothers? Probably not .....
Like you I dvr'd last night's debate and haven't had the chance to view it yet.I HOPE Obama CHANGEd his tactics. I'm a Yankee fan (what?) and it appears their elimination will come much sooner than November 6th. I don't have magical underwear to help them in the post season but I do have a 'special' cap I wear. Which, by the way, after last night's whuppin' the Tigers put on my Yankees seems to be magic "neutral", as well.
As for Obama's 180 on gay marriage fer shure it was a political ploy to woo the "Bleeding Heart" Liberals back into the fold, and though it has fuck all to do with me or Barry(I don't think PBO's gay, either), it was the right thing to do, human rights wise, though it WILL cost him votes next month.
Again, thanks for stopping by and commenting. If you still believe Romney's tax plan is doable c'mon back .... I've got an old abacus out in the shed ... we'll sit out back, watch my birds, and have a beer. I'm a Mathamagician with that thing! Maybe Willard and lil' Eddy could use one ....

Here's another back and forth on a separate post, same blog and same time frame.

##- Quite useful and awesome. Might add it to a blog post of mine. With your permission of course.

Check out this document, then tell me these two aren't cowardice pussies.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/110073567/The-2012-Debates-Memorandum-of-Understanding-Between-the-Obama-and-Romney-Campaigns

This comment was left on a post that included quite a useful link. Here is his reply.

J.O.B., GOO-uh-OOD-NESS! After the first reading of that document I thought perhaps they had forgotten to add a rule or two .... but on second reading? Nope! they gottum all! That document alone created several jobs .... for LAWYERS! heh
As for content ... take what you need. As the title of this blog implies, NONE of my content is original. It comes from the nowhere ... and it goes to the no place. So take whatcha need ....

btw .... visited your page and that's a very pretty lil' girl ya' got there! Her Momma must be a beauty queen .... and it's a good thing too ... what with all the ugly YOU thowed into the mix! heh heh heh
Johnny O'Bloggin, huh? J.O.B.. Not at all what I assumed. I see those very initials (J.O.B.) pert near every day ... but it's because I use http://www.rollingpaperwarehouse.com/thumbnail.asp?file=assets/images/products/papers/job/images/job_125_gold_box.gif&maxx=300&maxy=300

After this exchange, I thought we were on a pretty friendly basis. He even complimented the Princess, and joked about my looks. Hey, I'll give him that. I ain't pretty, but I do think I have beautiful eyes. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
This is a comment I left on 10/18. The post was in regards to the recent debate when Romney/Obama were talking about women in the work place, and The Lily Ledbetter Act.

So ##, Obama's claim to fame is Lily Ledbetter? Let's take a look at that.
1st- The Ledbetter Act passed the Senate on 01-22-09. Obama signed it into law on 01-29-09. That's a whole 9 days after his inauguration. He supposedly championed it. Must have been during his Presidential run. I would also like to add, what this bill does. The Act amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 stating that the 180-day statute of limitations for filing an equal-pay lawsuit regarding pay discrimination resets with each new paycheck affected by that discriminatory action.

This is the champion of women's rights? Good times.

BTW- I like to think my Princess looks like me. Considering the EX is a disgustingly ugly woman. Inside and out.
Good to see you admit that our President is despicable.
I never got into rolling papers. I have always been a bowl kind of guy.

Now here is his reply posted today.

You missed it, ####er, because it didn't happen. J.O.B. here is using a tactic called "baiting" in which he blathers passive aggressive nonsense to evoke a reaction .... and further debate. This guy is what Squatty referred to as "the weight" and what the rest of us call a .... fuckin' .... TROLL! So .... unlike Squat I won't try to reason with this shit stirring idiot, I'll just ... fuckin' .... BLOCK his monkey ass! This will be Johnny O'Bloggin's last retort because now he's Johhny O' ....fuckin' .... BLOCKED! Yes ... he'll post a comment as ANONYMOUS .... I'll switch to comment moderation .... you and the three or four LEGITIMATE commenters here will be annoyed ... we'll dance this dance until he finds someone else to intimidate and life for us will then return to normal. BUT .... make no mistake .... this is the last you'll see of J.O.B. over here. Oh, sure .... if it gets real bad ... I'll go over and take a giant SHIT on his page two or three times a day (fire for effect!) and disrupt his little cesspool corner of the interwebs ... you remember BBC? Should be about as interesting.
J.O.B. .... sorry, dude .... I tried to give you a chance, but "We don't LIKE yer kind 'round these parts .... sooooo .... Buh-Bye and good riddance.
And I disagree with you about yer little Princess. She really is a cute lil' girl and looks NOTHING like you. I suspect that if yer EX is as FUGLY as you say she is ... she can't be any FUGLIER than ... fuckin' ... YOU ... and perhaps it's like adding two negative numbers together. BTW .... what does that Ugly Ex-wife of yours think about her daughter headlining yer .... fuckin' .... Titty Blog? Yer showin' Reeeeeeeeal Class with that, Son! In closing I'd like to say .... MERGE PETER CHEESE! "Or I shall taunt you a second time-uh..."

######, see how that's done? No pain, no strain, no weight, no .... fuckin' .... J.O.B.

There it is. Liberal idealism at it's finest. I have always taken pride in my manners. At least while on other blogs. If anyone disagree's, please let me know.  But we are not on someone else's blog now, are we?
To my latest censor, GO FUCK YOURSELF. You are obviously a mindless, non thinking piece of shit. You are so blinded by your hate for Republicans and Conservatives, that you don't even see that you are practicing the same tactics that you as a "Liberal" preach against. The GOP intimidates? Really? What am I to gather by your threats of coming to my blog and shitting all over it.? That your the piece loving, tree hugger type?
I never went to your blog and acted rudely to you, or your commenters. And your last reply is what I get. You are a small minded conformist. I will now explain to you why that is.

Lily Ledbetter is a shit law.  It does nothing for women's rights other than just opening a possible door. The woman who was discriminated against has to do her own investigating, she has to hire an attorney, and she has to file suit. Are you fucking kidding me? That's your answer to a woman's right in the workplace? Or do you just like it because our incumbent Fucktard "Championed" it. How about a better idea. Like audits of companies through payroll tax forms and other avenues, by the Department of Labor? Why should a woman who's already been discriminated against, be forced to incur additional costs to prove her discrimination? Oh, I remember now, Obama "Championed" it, and Romney's against it. So YOU must be the righteous one.
AND HOW DARE YOU, talk to me about class, and how to raise a child. You don't know me, my child, or what I've went through just to be a part of my child's life. So maybe you should stay away from that one you piece of shit.
But hey, thanks for not calling HER ugly. You are definitely all heart, all class, and all man.
Oh, and you can comment over here anytime. Your input is always welcome. That's my motto, come one come all. Open doors to everyone. Even an ASSHOLE such as yourself. Good day sir.

Now I have an old acquaintance to contact.

                                                       UPDATE:

I realize that there may be some confusion over the Asshole's last comment. I will add more to clarify

JOB, dude. I must admit that I usually skip over your comments for various reasons. I have viewed your website but likewise skip over that as well. But if you'd like more than skipping, you need to stop printing the "facts" as you choose to hear them. If you want to lay down the facts about Ledbetter, do it. Say that GW Bushkin and his cronies killed the same bill and say that John McCain campaigned against it and Obama promised to make it a priority if he was elected.

Say that Obama and his new Democratic majority gathered enough Republican Senators to support the Bill and prevent other Repub assholes from fill-a-fucking-busting the bill. He made a promise and kept it.

And I must have missed where B### admitted the Prez is despicable.

This comment was left my another nameless commenter. I replied but it was erased. It was actually well thought out and I agreed with a lot of his points. Oh well, his loss. But you will notice the commenters last sentence. Well, this part of my comment "Good to see you admit that our President is despicable.

This was an attempt at tongue and cheek humor. I know the Blogger never called Obama despicable. The funny thing is that I believe this is what set him "OFF". The funnier part is that in a round about sort of way. He did call The President despicable. Let's start. This is from a thread on a different blog.
"Changing your point of view because of THE FACTS is an admirable quality, but changing your POV because of PRESENT COMPANY is despicable!"

So I posed this simple question.
BTW- One question. You said in that thread, "Changing your point of view because of THE FACTS is an admirable quality, but changing your POV because of PRESENT COMPANY is despicable!"
Out of curiosity, what do you think about Obama's flip-flop on gay marriage?

Here is his reply.
As for Obama's 180 on gay marriage fer shure it was a political ploy to woo the "Bleeding Heart" Liberals back into the fold, and though it has fuck all to do with me or Barry(I don't think PBO's gay, either), it was the right thing to do,

So there you have it. If you are Republican and you change your point of view due to present company, or to garner votes, you are despicable. But if a Democrat does the same thing, it's the right thing to do.

Maybe some day, I'll figure that one out.
